You know how often we talk about out-of-date designs and
colors. But there is another thing, old stuff comes back, but adjusted
to the trendy designs. For instance, the brown lips are out-of-date, but
if you choose the right shade of the brown color range and if you apply
a proper technique. I have something in mind, take a look:
You will need several tools and products to achieve this effect:
Lipstick brush
Black pencil
Brown lipstick
Nude-pink lipstick
- First of all, you have to prepare the lips for all the lipsticks you will apply – exfoliate them. You can see in the picture that the edge of the upper lips doesn’t look so smooth and precise. This is a result of the dry cuticles all over the lips. The brush is lifting them up and it looks unpleasant. So, exfoliate the lips with a lip scrub or if you don’t have right now at home a lip scrub, you can make a homemade one: mix in a small container two spoons of white crystal sugar and a pinch of honey, the honey is needed to mix the sugar into a thick paste. Then rub the lips with that mixture for 2-3 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Immediately apply lip balm to moisturize the skin of the lips. Wait a few minutes until it absorbs and then pat on a tissue to remove the excess moist.
- Now, when your lips are prepared for the makeup, you can proceed with the application. Contour the edges of the lips with dark brown lipstick. Use a lipstick brush for more precise work.
- Then apply at the center of the lips the nude pink lipstick.
- Apply black lip pencil to the corners of the mouth and then blend in nicely. The borders between the colors could be less or more noticeable, it depends on how much you blend in.
Enjoy the look and find a way to wear the brown lipstick in trendy designs. Have fun!
